Biotechnology is going to turn out as a saviour of environment and we will see reversal of the environmental damage in our own life times. Biotech is the wild card in the doomed hand being played out by our polluted planet. The two most important areas to be impacted by biotechnology are human health and environment.

Eneregy will he the largest single investment opportunity of 21st century. Within a generation there will be no gas bills, no oil bills, no wood bills, no coal bills, no gasoline bills, no polluting coal, no oil fired power plant, no gasoline engines and no nuclear plants generating radiation waste.

Our greatest challenge, however, lies in making the free markets work for the poor. The traditional role of business, government and civil society has inhibited development of enterprise based solutions to proverty reduction. Markets can provide a positive socio-economic inclusion, quality of life and environment value protection. To make markets work for everyone we need to transfer the prosperity that markets make possible to the poor.
