INVITATION- WCEM - 2004

I am pleased to learn that World Environment Foundation is organising the 6th World Congress on Environment Management with the theme of "Catalysing Public & Private Partnersgips for Social & Environmental actions" at Palampur, HP on 11-13 June 2004.

The WEF could not have chosen a more appropriate theme and a more salubrious setting for the deliberations of this theme. The rapid increase in globalisation, telecommunications and internet while creating wealth are also causing incalculable damage to environment. The greatest challenge before the business today is to identify and innovate products, which are eco-friendly in order to minimize impact on environment. Himachal with its abundant natural resources presents unique business alternatives in 21st century and is an ideal destination for businesses that have an eye on the future.

I therefore, personally welcome all delegates and speakers for this most useful congress and wish it grand success.
